Organization- Writing

This Practice Activity is Courtesy of Middle School
Teacher Colleen Carlson.

Write a variety of short, one-paragraph stories in a large
font, double-spaced on the computer.
After each sentence, put a line break, so the next sentence starts on a new
line.
Print out the stories.
Cut the stories into pieces (because each sentence starts on a new line, they
should not fit together like a puzzle).
Working in small groups, students will then piece the stories together so the
sentences are organized correctly. Students should try this with several
stories and meet to discuss the results.
