Materials: Pipe cleaners
Object of Lesson: Students can identify the different emotions that our body expresses.
Activity: Preface this lesson by discussing the MANY different types of emotions (stressed, frustrated, angry, happy, sad, confident, shy, bored, interested, etc.) Make a list on the board of all the emotions so that students can refer back to them as needed. You may want to hace the students act out some of these emotions and discuss the placement of the hands, shoulders, head, etc. Pass out the pipe cleaners and have the students create a stick figure person that is expressing one of the emotions. Have the students share their "person" with the class.
